Ian Tregoning

Managing Director
Tregoning Hobbs Group

Ian is the owner and Director of the Tregoning Group of Companies, a South Australia-based enterprise specialising in trailer manufacturing, engineering, and property development. Established in 1946, the Group has maintained a strong presence in the region, with Ian playing a key role in its continued success. Since the 1960s, he has led the development of numerous industrial and commercial projects across Adelaide, supported by his academic background in Economics, Arts, and Property Development.

Between 1995 and 2003, Ian concentrated on expanding EDP Hotels and other real estate interests, including Elevate. A respected figure in the hospitality sector, he has led major redevelopment projects and is known for his expertise in gaming room design and performance. Since 2003, Ian has also been instrumental in the growth of Living Choice Australia, driving the development of residential communities through strategic property development and subdivision.

Graham Hobbs (OAM)

Graham graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1971 with degrees in Law and Economics. He began his legal career at Kelly & Co in 1972, quickly becoming a Partner and later leading the firm’s Banking and Finance Division. From 1988 to 1997, he served as Chairman, guiding the firm through significant growth and development over a 25-year tenure.

In 1997, Graham retired from legal practice to focus on Elevate, overseeing its financial and legal operations and managing key contract negotiations for clubs in Queensland. Since 2003, he has also led sales, marketing, and operations at Living Choice Australia, playing a pivotal role in the company’s national expansion and customer service initiatives. His deep expertise in law, finance, and business strategy continues to influence Elevate’s long-term vision and success.

Darren Steele

Darren is an experienced business owner, manager and Director with key strengths in leadership, change management, negotiation, financial management and analysis, marketing, strategy and risk identification/mitigation.

He joined the Tregoning Hobbs Group in 2018 as General Manager of Operations for EDP Hotels in South Australia and transitioned to be its inaugural Chief Executive Officer in July 2023.

With a working lifetime in business, hospitality and property he brings a wealth of experience to the Elevate Club Management leadership team and the broader Tregoning Hobbs Group which currently operates in three states from 38 different customer facing business locations employing over 780 people.

Tony Costain

Tony brings over 30 years of executive leadership to the Australian hospitality and club sector, with a proven track record in venue transformation, strategic growth. At Caloundra RSL, he led a six-stage $45 million redevelopment and amalgamated three additional clubs, establishing it as one of Queensland’s most awarded venues.

Now leading Elevate Club Management, Tony oversees a diverse portfolio of licensed venues and is widely respected for his strategic foresight, stakeholder engagement, and ability to drive sustainable, high-performance outcomes.

Daniel Vaughan

With over 25 years of hands-on hospitality leadership, Daniel Vaughan brings a wealth of operational expertise across all facets of the industry, from frontline hotel management to senior executive Group Roles within national groups such as ALH.

As Group Operations Manager at Elevate Club Management, Daniel is widely regarded as one of Queensland’s most accomplished and respected hospitality professionals. His depth of experience, operational discipline, and ability to drive performance outcomes make him a key pillar of Elevate’s senior leadership team.
